200 Squats: The Initial Test

Right – straight to it! After yesterday’s brainwave and post, I riffled through the Two Hundred Squats website and downloaded the app (it was only $1.29 after all).

Today, I took the initial test. According to the app, my test result means I should start on Week 3 of the six week programme. So, there you have it folks, two weeks down and only four to go – who would’ve thought it would be that easy? The time just flew by…

But, in all seriousness, I’m looking forward to doing this and I’ve already set a reminder to start day one of the programme tomorrow (they recommend resting between test and first session). Bring it on.

Curious for some more information? I’ve summarized it a bit below, but you really should check out the website (and join us).

What’s the point? Why should I do it? Why not? Squats to amazing things to your body – especially your thighs and butt. Who doesn’t want an amazing butt?

How long will it take? Not long. The programme is set over six weeks, with three sessions a week. The sessions themselves are approx. 15 minutes.

How do I know that I’m doing it right? Squats are a great exercise that requires no equipment and utilises your own body weight, but they can do damage if done wrong. Check out this video.

Do I need an app? Nope, the website has everything you need available for free. I’ve grabbed the app for the reminders/tracker/etc in one place – all of which can be done outside the app if you’re even the slightest bit organised (or aspire to be).

Can I join in? Of course! Please do – and let us know that you’re on board. Lisa’s planning on joining in, too.
