Working Out Before Work – A How-To

If someone could write a post about how to workout before work in the morning, that would be awesome. Really, really helpful.

To workout out in the morning before work is one of my goals.
And it’s one I’m finding a little harder than I thought it would be.

The last two days I’ve set my alarm for 5:40am with the goal of being at the gym when it opens at 6, and back home about the time I usually get up for shower and getting ready for work. Pretty simple, easy plan, no?

The first day I snoozed the alarm once, and then slept right through until I was ready to make up.
Last night I set a fool-proof plan – 3 alarms on my phone, each 3 min apart so that if I hit snooze it would be pointless. Except, only 2 sounded. And it turns out I’m pretty skilled at disabling alarms without even opening my eyes.

Both days I missed an early morning gym session.
Both days I ended up getting out of bed later than I would on any other day – and ended up getting to work about half an hour later than usual.

Tomorrow I try again – this time with success!
But before I reset all my alarms, set the volume to fire-siren-loud and leave my phone on the other side of the bedroom (through a maze of washing baskets, shelves and the like) - have you got any pointers?!
